Tony Andrews is an English sound engineer and sound technician.
He started in the music business in the early 1970s a roadie for Pete Brown and Piblokto. He built his first PA system for The Pink Fairies and Hawkwind in 1971. Tony then gradually started to design and build material for live music, road cases and loudspeaker systems. Over the years he was responsible for founding the companies Peace Sounds, Cosmic Boxes, Sonic Trucking, and then Turbosound with John Newsham, a rental company that built its own equipment. Turbosound eventually evolved into Funktion One created in 1992 in London. They are highly regarded designers and manufacturers of high quality point source loudspeaker systems with numerous patent to their name.
