Nailbomb was the industrial/thrash metal collaboration of Max Cavalera of
Sepultura and Alex Newport of
Fudge Tunnel, it was a short-lived project as the group only released a studio album
Point Blank in 1994, did only two live shows, one at a small venue called Club Dinamo and their last concert at the '95 Dynamo Open Air Festival, which was later released that same year as
Proud To Commit Commercial Suicide, with two additional new studio tracks, the backing band for that show included Dave Edwardson from Neurosis on bass, Rhys Fulber of Front Line Assembly on keys and sampler, and a rotating cast a drummers consisting of Igor Cavalera, Barry Schneider of Tribe After Tribe and D.H. Peligro of the Dead Kennedys. The project ended that year as Alex had no interest in recording a new album nor touring.
Max Cavalera has since 2017 done a few tours performing
Point Blank in its entirety with his main project Soulfly, having his son
Igor Jr. doing the vocal parts of Newport as well as playing keys and samples.
