Mark E. Miller, drummer, studied gamelan in Java for two years, worked in NYC from the late 70's into the 90's performing and recording -- notably with the duo Toy Killers that included Mark and Charles Noyes with a rotating cast of Bill Laswell (bass), Elliott Sharp (guitar and bass), Wayne Horvitz (keyboards), John Zorn (alto sax), Nicky Skopelitis (guitar), Weasel Walter (guitar and bass) and others (Derek Bailey is said to briefly appear on one of the tracks of the compilation The Unlistenable Years but is not credited). Miller appeared on almost non-definable records by John Zorn, Elliott Sharp, Material, Peter Kuhn, Wayne Horvitz, Golden Palominos, Ambitious Lovers and Carbon. On February 8, 2015, Mark Edward Miller passed away from from complications of open-heart surgery.
