Multi-instrumentalist (woodwinds, percussion, vocals, etc) began his career in 1996 as a musician with the Desco Records label, recording and performing with The Soul Providers (later to become the Dap-Kings). Also founder of the groups Antibalas (inspired by his work with The Daktaris) and Ocote Soul Sounds, and frequent collaborator of TV on the Radio. Records frequently with other members of the Antibalas horn section. Appears on many other recordings across jazz, funk, rock, hip hop and Latin music genres.
