Originally from Toronto Jake has been an in-demand guitarist for for over 25 years. Jake held the guitar chair with the illustrious Joey Defrancesco Trio for five years, performing world wide and recording 3 award winning Cds on Concord Records. Organic Vibes featured Jazz legends George Coleman, and Bobby Hutcherson. Authorized Bootlegs was recorded live at Yoshis and featured legendary sax man George Coleman. He also recorded on Jamey Aebersold play along volume 118.

His Jazz credits read like a who's who of Jazz history with the likes of Jazz icons Bobby Hutcherson, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Jimmy McGriff, Steve Gadd, Pat Labarbara, Sam Yahel, James Moody, Trudy Pitts, George Coleman, Billy Hart, Houston Person, Pee Wee Ellis, Scott Hamilton, Garth Hudson, Ron Blake and Bill Cosby and others.
